I first heard of Forever Healthy, an allergy and wellness clinic offering an holistic complement to traditional health care, a couple of months ago when my friend told me about the amazing results her loved ones experienced through their treatments: her sister-in-law was treated for seasonal depression and her baby grandnephew was treated for constant lung congestion. In both cases, a NAET Practitioner identified the hidden allergy that was causing the problem, and treated it successfully (NAET is a completely natural, non-invasive and drug free holistic treatment used at Forever Healthy). The tests and treatments sounded unbelievably simple and non-invasive: there was no poking or prodding involved. And, according to their website, treatments work 90% of the time, and they last a lifetime.

At Forever Healthy, allergies are identified using Muscle Response Testing (MRT) whereby the patient holds out his or her arm while a NAET Practitioner pushes gently down on it. MRT will point to the kinetic imbalance in the body caused by allergens. Forever Healthy’s NAET treatment consists of the patient holding an allergen while acupressure is used to stimulate pressure points along the spine from the neck to the sacrum. After the acupressure, the patient continues to hold the allergen for 15 minutes. Once the treatment has been administered, another test is performed, and a strong MRT indicates that the allergy has been removed. The substance must then be completely avoided for 25 hours following the treatment for best results. My friend and I laughed at how easy it sounded. In the words of my friend, it sounded like complete “hocus pocus.” It sounded too good to be true. And, you know the saying, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Despite our skepticism, we couldn’t deny the results; we were impressed.

My friend excitedly decided to try Forever Healthy to treat her very serious egg allergy. If the treatments are successful, her life will be dramatically improved, as she will no longer have to live with the fear of eating something with egg in it. Little did I know that Forever Healthy was about to change my life as well.

A year ago, we adopted a beautiful silver Persian who we named Snuggles. It was love at first sight: she is affectionate, soft, and has the sweetest personality. We were so glad to have her as part of our family. Unfortunately, we soon learned that Snuggles had various health issues, the worst of which was her chronic diarrhea. We tried different varieties of pet food, fish, yogurt, pumpkin, and everything else that was recommended, but nothing worked.

Our new kitten turned out to be a lot of work with her special dietary needs, medications, messes all over the house, and constant baths. We had to remove our carpets because she soiled them. Being a busy family of five, this extra work was causing stress. Within a year, we had spent close to $1,000 on vet bills and supplies. We were discouraged with the lack of results we were seeing, but we kept trying new things and tried to stay optimistic–we loved Snuggles and didn’t want to give up on her.

Eventually, with no progress being made, we had to put Snuggles in a separate room in order to minimize the damage to the house and furniture. The room was sunny and warm with a glass door so she could see and hear us, and we would visit with her often. However, we knew being in that room was no life for her: we would have to find her a new home where someone was around full-time to care for her. We were heartbroken. All our efforts had failed.

Then I remembered my friend’s Forever Healthy success stories and thought I would call to see if they treat animals. I was surprised, but excited, to hear that they do! I booked the next available appointment. I didn’t think anything could make Snuggles better but I was desperate, and Forever Healthy sounded so promising.

Because Snuggles is a pet, and Forever Healthy treats people for allergies, she couldn’t go inside the clinic for treatment. I drove to the back of the building and knocked on the back door, where we were soon met by Madeline, a NAET Practitioner. To test Snuggles, Madeline had me hold her in my right arm while she pushed down on my left arm in order to identify the allergy. Yes, Snuggles’ energy was flowing through me! It was discovered that Snuggles had an allergic reaction to red fabric dye when she was a kitten. This reaction caused a blockage in her system, which is what was making her sick. Madeline treated Snuggles for the blockage using the energy vials, which I held up to her belly. This took about 15 minutes. It was unbelievably simple and non-invasive (Snuggles was purring the whole time), and our kitten was completely cured! Her treatment cost $60.

I am a firm believer that people (and, in this case, pets) come into your life for a reason. Snuggles had a big reason for coming into our lives and putting us through a very difficult year. Her experience is what convinced our 17-year-old son, who was diagnosed with depression last April, to go to Forever Healthy for treatments. I tried so hard to convince him to go when my friend first told me about the clinic but he flat-out refused. His attitude changed when he saw first-hand how Forever Healthy cured Snuggles when none of us believed anything could help her.

Forever Healthy will first treat my son for the ten basic allergens such as egg, calcium, and Vitamin C in order to ensure that his body absorbs the proper nutrients, thus building his immune system. So far, he’s had three treatments using the energy vials. It is too early to see any results, but I’m optimistic.
Depression is an illness that affects the sufferer and those who love him or her. If Forever Healthy can treat my son’s depression, we won’t have to worry about whether or not he is taking his medication when he is an adult and out on his own. I remember all too well the constant worry my grandparents lived with when it came to my uncle who also suffered from depression. Unfortunately, my uncle ended up taking his own life–I don’t want that fate for my son or for us.

I am so grateful to Forever Healthy for curing Snuggles. Thanks to their wonderful treatments, we now have a healthy and even more content little kitty in our lives. We no longer have to worry about her health or the mess she might cause: we have our lives back!
