Will I survive a summer in Ontario with no cooling ocean breezes? Our house has no air conditioning and we do not have any window air conditioners. This may get very tricky, or at the least very sticky.To beat the heat without breaking the bank will take a plan. Can I keep my cool while keeping my green?

I have a great deal on my gym membership. It cost me only twelve dollars a month. But, in the year and a half that I have had this membership, how often have I actually used it? ZERO! Yes, that is correct—I have not gone once. My point: no matter how great a deal you obtain on that gym membership or piece of equipment, if you do not actually use it, it is a waste!

Reduce and re-use were en vogue in Newfoundland long before the environmental movement was created. Despite the fact that my parents both had good jobs when I was growing up, nothing was wasted. It was only as an adult did I realize how the things I had always done were actually good for the environment.
